We seal all the worktops with a product called ‘Dry Treat’ which is highly effective once it has had time to cure. It can last up to a minimum of 5 years if cleaned correctly using PH neutral products.

What can I use to clean granite kitchen worktops?

To clean your granite worktops we recommend using specialist granite cleaner which is available to buy from Grantech. You can also use hot water and mild dish soap (ph neutral where possible)  for daily sanitising. If you want to ensure your granite appears at its best for the longest time possible you will need to make sure that you clean it regularly, we recommend using a clean cotton cloth.

Can I put a hot pan on granite kitchen worktops?

We don’t recommend you put a hot pan or any other hot material directly on your granite worktop. While the stone itself will be able to withstand the heat, prolonged contact with high heat will weaken the seal that was applied when the granite kitchen worktops were installed and as a result, your granite worktop may appear discolored.

When cooking always try to keep your pans or hot dishes on a trivet or chopping board to make sure your granite can remain at its best.
